The Five | 26
A curated selection of things I’m loving right now — from wardrobe staples and everyday essentials to beauty must-haves and more.
01
EADEM | Sunscreen & Blurring Primer
As part of a recent ad with EADEM, I’ve been trying out their Sunscreen & Blurring Primer. Non-greasy with an invisible finish, it works as both a sunscreen and a blurring primer in one. It’s also great layered over makeup.
Definitely one that has come in handy while I’ve been travelling recently — especially this week, with the heatwave (!) we’re in the middle of in the UK.
02
Victoria Beckham | Colour Wash Water Tint
A true summer beauty essential — I’ve been using these drops (you only need a couple) to add a sun-kissed glow. I’ve been using the Bronze Water Tint in Tanline, along with the Blush Water Tint in Flushed, both from the Colour Wash range, and I love how they work together. They feel a bit intimidating at first, but they blend out really well with a brush and give a lovely, natural-looking finish.
03
ALPHABET | Brighton
ALPHABET is a bit of a hidden gem and probably my favourite spot in Brighton. In fact my husband and three sons would agree — one or all of us are often there on a weekend. It’s slightly off the beaten track, so you could easily miss it which in a way makes it great — one of those ‘if you know’ places. The vibe and the drinks are great (I love a place that serves good beer and good cocktails) and at this time of year the roof terrace is packed with people and it almost feels like you’re at a bar in New York. There’s also a gig space upstairs that can be hired out for parties so if you’ve got a special event coming up, it’s a great option. So if you find yourself in Brighton definitely seek it out!
04
Aaron Levine x Zara | Tote Bag
A bag I’ve been reaching for a lot recently is this cotton tote from the latest Aaron Levine x Zara drop. I really love the shade of green but the contrasting leather straps are my favourite detail. It’s a shame it’s no longer available in this colour, and I missed out on the red. I have since found a couple of alternatives, depending on budget, including this from Tory Burch and the classic L.L.Bean Boat and Tote.
05
CELINE | Charms Gourmette
I included CELINE’s Triomphe Basket in this edition of The Five, and I did go back for a try-on recently. Whilst in store, I spotted the above charm bracelet and, magpie that I am, unlocked a new obsession.
I’ve never actually owned a charm bracelet before, but I like the idea of slowly adding to it over time. The perfect gift idea — albeit a slightly luxurious one ;)
Until next time,
— Alexis x
